Article Goal
Learn how to re-execute a previously completed report in WebReports.
What is Re-Execute?
The Re-Execute option allows users to run a previously completed report again using the same parameter values that were used during the original execution.
This eliminates the need to manually re-enter parameters when generating updated report results.
Why Use Re-Execute?
Re-executing a report is useful when:
- You need updated data using the same parameters.
- You regularly run the same report.
- You want to save time by avoiding manual parameter entry.
- You need to regenerate report results after data changes.
Example
A sales report is executed using:
- Start Date: 01/01/2026
- End Date: 01/31/2026
After new sales data is imported, the report can be re-executed using the same date range without manually entering the parameters again.
Accessing Re-Execute
- Sign in to WebReports.
- Select Reports.
- Click Completed.
- Locate the report you want to run again.
- Click Re-Execute.
What Happens During Re-Execution?
When a report is re-executed:
- The original report is executed again.
- The previously selected parameter values are reused.
- A new completed report entry is created.
- The original completed report remains available.
Best Practices
- Review the original parameter values before re-executing the report.
- Verify that source data has been updated if refreshed results are expected.
- Use Re-Execute for recurring reports that use the same parameters frequently.
Article Summary
The Re-Execute feature allows users to run a completed report again using the original parameter selections. This helps save time, improves consistency, and simplifies the process of generating updated report results.
