WebReports provides several ways to view report results, including detailed data, summarized data, formatted reports, and interactive visualizations.
The available views depend on the report and your assigned permissions.
Open report results
- Select Reports.
- Select Available.
- Locate and select the report.
- Choose an output from the Run report menu.
- Enter any required report parameters.
- Run the report.
Use the left navigation to move between the available result views:
- Detail Grid
- Summary Grid
- Finished Report
- Visualize
You can also return to Available Reports or Completed Reports.
Work with the Detail Grid
The Detail Grid displays individual report records in rows and columns.
Depending on the report, you can:
- Sort a column.
- Filter individual columns.
- Group results by one or more columns.
- Expand or collapse grouped records.
- Create an advanced filter.
- Export the displayed data.
- Move between result pages.
- Refresh the report.
- Embed the report when that option is available.

Sort report results
Select a column heading to sort the results by that column.
Select the heading again to reverse the sort order. The displayed sort indicator identifies the current direction.
Sorting changes the order in which the results are displayed. It does not modify the underlying report data.
Filter a column
Use the filter field beneath a column heading to display matching records.
- Locate the column you want to filter.
- Enter or select the required value.
- Apply the filter when prompted.
When a filter is active:
- Only matching rows remain visible.
- The active filter appears at the bottom of the grid.
- You can edit, disable, or clear the filter using the available controls.
Select Clear to remove the active grid filter.

Group report results
Grouping organizes rows according to the values in a selected column.
- Drag a column heading into the area labeled Drag a column header here to group by that column.
- Review the groups created from the column values.
- Use the arrow beside a group heading to expand or collapse its records.
To remove the grouping, move the grouping field out of the grouping area or use its available removal control.

Groups can be expanded to show their detail rows or collapsed to show only the group heading.
Create an advanced filter
Select Create Filter to build a filter containing multiple conditions or nested groups.
Each condition contains:
- A field
- A comparison operator
- A value, when required
Conditions can be combined using And, Or, Not And, or Not Or.

Export grid results
Use the export actions above the grid to export report data in an available format.
Exported content reflects the report results and the capabilities of the selected format. Review active filters and grouping before exporting to ensure the intended records are included.
Note: Available export formats may depend on the report view and your assigned permissions.
Work with the Summary Grid
The Summary Grid displays grouped or calculated report information instead of individual detail records.
Summary columns may use calculations such as:
- SUM
- MAX
- Other calculations configured in the report
The Summary Grid supports many of the same controls as the Detail Grid, including:
- Column sorting and filtering
- Grouping
- Advanced filters
- Export actions
- Pagination
- Refresh
Summarized report results containing calculated values.
Note: Summary results are determined by the report’s configuration. Changing the Summary Grid display does not modify the report definition.
View a Finished Report
Select Finished Report to open the formatted report viewer.
The viewer provides controls for:
- Moving between pages
- Viewing page thumbnails
- Changing the zoom level
- Searching the report
- Printing
- Exporting
- Entering full-screen mode
- Configuring export options
- Opening Finished Report Chat

Navigate report pages
Use the page controls in the viewer toolbar to:
- Move to the first or previous page.
- Move to the next or last page.
- Enter a page number.
- Review the total number of pages.
- Open the thumbnail panel for visual page navigation.
Change the Finished Report zoom level
Open the zoom menu and select an available magnification level:
- 500%
- 200%
- 150%
- 100%
- 75%
- 50%
- 25%
- Page Width
- Whole Page
Use Page Width to fit the report to the viewer’s width. Use Whole Page to display an entire report page within the available viewing area.
Search a Finished Report
- Select the Search icon.
- Enter the text you want to find.
- Select either option when required:
- Match case
- Match whole word only
- Select Search.
Search results are limited to content available in the Finished Report.
Export a Finished Report
Open the Finished Report export menu and select an available format:
- XLS
- XLSX
- RTF
- DOCX
- MHT
- HTML
- Text
- CSV
- Image
The Export Options panel provides additional settings for each supported format.

Print or view the report full screen
Select Print to open the available printing workflow.
Select the full-screen control to expand the report viewer. Exit full-screen mode to return to the standard WebReports layout.
Review the report for sensitive information before printing, exporting, or displaying it in a shared environment.
Use Finished Report Chat
Select the sparkle icon to open Finished Report Chat.
The panel includes:
- The current Finished Report as context
- A conversation-history area
- A prompt field
- Send
- Copy
Enter a question about the report and select Send. Review the response before using or sharing it.
Important: Finished Report Chat requires a valid OpenAI API key supplied by your organization. OpenAI is a separate third-party service and is not included with or billed by BridgeWorks. OpenAI account setup, usage fees, and charges are managed and billed directly by OpenAI.
Note: AI-generated responses may be incomplete or inaccurate. Verify important conclusions against the underlying report data.
Do not include API keys, passwords, or unrelated confidential information in a Report Chat prompt.
Work with Visualize
Select Visualize to view interactive charts and dashboards created for the report.
Depending on the visualization, you can:
- Move between dashboard tabs.
- Review charts and summarized values.
- Interact with available chart controls.
- Enter full-screen mode.
- Export or share the visualization.
- Enable dark mode.
- Open Visualize Report Chat.

Export a visualization
Open the share/export menu and select an available format:
- Image
- Excel
Review the visualization and its data before exporting or sharing it.
The exported result may differ depending on the selected format and the design of the visualization.
Use Visualize Report Chat

The panel includes:
- The current visualization as context
- A conversation-history area
- A prompt field
- Send
- Copy

Refresh the results
Select Refresh to reload the current report results.
Refreshing may update the displayed information when the underlying data has changed. Depending on the report, you may need to enter or confirm its parameters again.
Protect report information
Report results may contain confidential business, employee, customer, or financial information.
Before exporting, printing, embedding, sharing, or capturing a screenshot:
- Confirm that the recipient is authorized to view the information.
- Remove or obscure sensitive values.
- Verify that active filters return only the intended records.
- Follow your organization’s data-handling and retention requirements.
