The Open option on the WebReports tab allows you to open Views that are currently stored in WebReports directly in VDM.
This is useful when you need to review or modify a View that already exists in WebReports.
Before You Begin
Before opening a WebReports View in VDM:
- VDM must be connected to a valid WebReports connection profile.
- The WebReports tab is only visible when a WebReports connection profile is selected.
- Your WebReports user must have access to the View you want to open.
Open a View from WebReports
1. Select the WebReports Connection Profile
From VDM, select the appropriate WebReports connection profile.
Once the connection profile is selected, the WebReports tab becomes available on the ribbon.
2. Open the WebReports Tab
Select the WebReports tab.
3. Click Open
Click Open.
VDM retrieves the Views that are currently available in WebReports.
4. Select the View
Locate the View you want to open.
Double-click the View to open it in VDM.
The View opens in VDM and can be reviewed or modified.
Saving the View Locally
Opening a View from WebReports does not automatically save a local copy.
The View is opened in VDM so you can review or make changes.
If you later use Save and Upload, VDM may prompt you to select a local save location before uploading the View back to WebReports.
Next Steps
After opening the View, you can make any required changes in VDM.
When you are ready to update the copy stored in WebReports, use WebReports > Save and Upload.
