Article Goal
Learn how to publish one or more VDM Views to WebReports using the WebReports ribbon. Publishing makes your reports available for assignment and execution via the WebReports interface.
Why Publish Views?
Publishing uploads the View definitions to WebReports and enables them to be assigned to users or used in automation. Unlike Save and Upload (which uploads one report at a time to one environment), publishing allows you to push multiple reports to multiple WebReports environments in one step.
Tip: Only users assigned the Publisher role in WebReports are permitted to use the publish feature.
Where Can You Publish Views?
The Publish option is found under the WebReports tab in VDM's ribbon. This tab is only visible when connected to a WebReports profile.

Article Summary
Publishing Views in VDM allows you to quickly push one or more reports to your WebReports environment for execution, user access, or scheduling. This is ideal for report admins and power users managing content across multiple environments. Only users with the Publisher role will see the Publish option, helping maintain control over who can deploy new or updated content.
Use Case: You’ve finished creating five new reports and need to deploy them to both staging and production WebReports environments. Instead of saving and uploading each one separately, you can publish all five at once using the Publish tool.
