In this article we provide detail how to publish your Views to Web Reports. Please note that only users with the Publisher role will be able to publish Views to Web Reports.

Why Publish Views?

Publishing a View will upload the report definition to WebReports, and make the report accessible for assignment via WebReports User Management.  This feature allows a Publisher to publish multiple reports to multiple WebReports environments in one action, versus the Save and Upload process, which allows a single report to be published to a single WebReports environment.

Where Can You Publish Views?

The Publish button is available on the Web Reports tab of VDM's main ribbon bar.

NOTE: The Web Reports tab is only available when you are on a Web Reports connection.

Steps To Publish Views.

Only Users assigned the Publisher role in Web Reports will be able to publish to Web Reports.

1. Click on the Web Reports tab of VDM's main ribbon bar.

NOTE: The Web Reports tab is only available when you are on a Web Reports connection.

2. Click on the Publish button.

3. Select your Web Reports connection.

4. Click on Select Views.

5. Select your View and click Open.

NOTE: Hold down CTRL + Click on each report to upload multiple reports at once. See above video for example.

6. Verify both the connection and views are selected with a black checkmark and then click Upload Selected.
