What is the VoV Builder?
The VoV Builder allows multiple Views to be combined into a single reporting structure. When Views share common grouped values, such as dates, customer IDs, or other matching fields, their grouped and aggregated data can be combined for reporting and analysis purposes.
The VoV Builder is commonly used when data from multiple Views must be consolidated into a single report or dataset.
Accessing the VoV Builder
The VoV Builder can be accessed from the Controls section of VDM.
Toolbar Options
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Add View | Adds a saved View to the VoV Builder. |
| Rebuild VoV | Rebuilds the VoV using the current configuration. |
| Clear Links | Removes all linking between Views. |
Working with Views
After a View has been added to the VoV Builder, you can perform the following actions:
- Add additional Views using Add View.
- Rebuild the VoV using Rebuild VoV.
- Remove all View linking using Clear Links.
- Remove an individual View by right-clicking the View and selecting Remove View.
Configuration Options
The VoV Builder includes several configuration options that control how Views are combined and returned when the VoV is executed.
VoV Configuration
