Article Goal: Troubleshoot FSGS not working / active / enabled
In this article we are going to cover the steps needed to troubleshoot why the FSGS is disabled when opening VDM / Views.
The Problem/Challenge - Why Is My FSGS Disabled?
There is a setting that when disabled, does not allow the standard graphical FSGS builder to work. As a workaround, you can enable Advanced Filtering and then disable it and it should become available to use again. Following the steps below will prevent this from needing to be done entirely.
Where Do I Change The ImpliedAND Setting?
The ImpliedAND setting can be changed by opening your OPTIONS file located in your VDM install directory. For assistance finding your OPTIONS file, click here.

The Solution - Steps To Fix FSGS Being Disabled.
1. Close VDM, then browse to your OPTIONS file in the File Explorer.
Note: If you are unsure where your OPTIONS file is located, click here.
2. Open the OPTIONS file in a text editor.
3. Change the !!ImpliedAND!!False setting to !!ImpliedAND!!True
Preview: ImpliedAND set to False (Bad)
Preview: ImpliedAND set to True (Good)
4. Save the OPTIONS file
5. Relaunch VDM and click FSGS to verify the FSGS is enabled.
