Understanding VDM Install Folder Locations

Default Folder Locations

AppData (User-Specific Settings) – Contains user-specific configuration files such as the OPTIONS file, VDM.lic license file, and the RECENT file by default.

ProgramData (System Service Files) – Contains Windows Service components, including service DLLs, executables, SERVICEOPTIONS, and the global OPTIONS file.

Program Files (Main Application Components) – Contains core VDM application files such as DLLs, executables, the service folder, and report import components.

Important Note: If an imported OPTIONS file is being used, the folder locations defined within that OPTIONS file will override the default locations.
