Report assignments determine which roles can access reports in WebReports. Each assignment connects a report with a connection profile, report type, role, and expiration period.
Users receive report access through their assigned roles.
Prerequisites
Before creating an assignment, verify that:
- The report is available in WebReports.
- The applicable connection profile exists.
- The role has been created.
- The users who need access belong to that role.
Open the Assignments page
- Sign in to WebReports.
- Select Management.
- Select Assignments.
The Assignments page displays:
- Report
- Connections
- Types
- Access via
- Expiration
Use the search box to find assignments by report, connection, type, or role.
Review report assignments
Each report appears as a summary row.
Select the arrow beside a report to display its individual assignments. The expanded rows identify the exact connection, report type, role, and expiration period associated with each assignment.
The checkbox beside an expanded assignment is used to select that specific assignment for deletion.
Create report assignments
- Select Add.
- Select one or more reports.
- Select the connection profile.
- Select the role that should receive access.
- Select the report type.
- Enter the expiration period in days.
- Select Add Assignments.
If multiple reports are selected, the same connection, role, report type, and expiration setting are applied to every selected report.

Verify an assignment
After creating an assignment:
- Return to the Assignments page.
- Locate the report.
- Expand the report’s summary row.
- Verify the connection, report type, role, and expiration period.
Users assigned to the selected role should then see the report according to the assignment settings.
Delete an assignment
- Locate and expand the applicable report.
- Check the box beside the individual assignment you want to remove.
- Select Delete Selected.
- Verify the selected assignment.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
Delete Selected remains unavailable until at least one individual assignment is selected.
Removing an assignment may remove report access from users who receive access through that role.
