Using Push-to-Talk in Bridgit Chat

Starting a Voice Recording

To begin recording:

1. Open a Bridgit Chat window.
2. Click the Microphone icon located in the chat input area.
3. The microphone icon turns red, indicating that Bridgit is actively listening and recording your speech.

Stopping a Recording

When you finish speaking:

1. Click the Microphone icon again.
2. Bridgit stops recording the audio.
3. The microphone icon changes to a processing spinner while the audio is being transcribed.

Reviewing the Transcript

After processing is complete:

1. The recorded speech is converted into text. 
2. Review the transcribed text for accuracy. 
3. Make any desired edits. 
4. Send the message to Bridgit.

Tips for Best Results

For the most accurate transcription results:

• Speak clearly and at a normal pace.
• Minimize background noise when possible.
• Use a quality microphone or headset.
• Review the generated transcript before sending.

Speech clarity can affect transcription accuracy. Unclear speech, strong background noise, or heavily accented speech may occasionally result in incorrect words or unexpected language detection.
