Article Goal
Explain how to use the Job Email feature to automatically send a single email that includes exported files from selected job executions.
Job Email
What: Job Email adds an Email button to the Job ribbon that lets you configure an email (profile, recipients, subject, and body) to send automatically whenever the job runs and exports files.
Why: This streamlines delivery by sending one consistent email per job run, ensuring recipients receive the latest exported outputs without sending emails on each individual execution.
Configuration Notes
| Item | Details |
|---|---|
| When the email sends | The Job Email sends once per job run (a single “master email”). |
| What gets attached/included | Only exports from executions with Include in Job Email enabled will be included. |
| Required setup | Job Email must be enabled and configured in the Job’s Email settings before it will send. |
Use Case
| Scenario | Description |
|---|---|
| Automated report delivery | Send a daily/weekly report email automatically after a job exports files. |
| Multi-output jobs | Combine exports from multiple executions into one email instead of sending separate emails per execution. |
| Standardized messaging | Ensure subject/body formatting stays consistent for every scheduled run. |

Open the job and go to the Job ribbon. Locate the new Email button.

Click Email, then enable Job Email.
Step 3: Select an Email Profile
Choose the Email Profile that should be used to send the message.
Step 4: Configure Recipients and Message Details

Steps to Include Executions in the Job Email
Step 5: Open Each Execution’s Setup
Within the job, open the setup for each execution that exports files.
Step 6: Enable Include in Job Email
Enable the boolean option Include in Job Email.
If this is left unchecked, that execution’s exported files will not be included in the Job Email.
Step 7: Run the Job and Confirm the Email
Run the job. When the job exports files, a single email will be sent containing exports only from executions marked Include in Job Email.
Article Summary
Job Email introduces a new Email button on the Job ribbon that allows you to configure and send one automated email for every job run that exports files. After enabling Job Email and setting the email profile, recipients, subject, and message body, the system will send a single “master email” each time the job executes. To include exports from a specific execution, you must enable Include in Job Email within that execution’s setup—otherwise, its exported files will be excluded from the Job Email.
