Setting Up Job Emails

Use Job Email to send one email containing exported files from selected executions in a job. Configure the recipients and message once, then choose which executions contribute their exports.

Configure the Job Email

1. Open Scheduler, select Job, and open your saved job.
2. Click Email on the Job ribbon.
3. In Job Email Setup, turn on Send Email.
4. Select a working email Profile.
5. Enter the recipients in To and, if needed, CC.
6. Enter a Subject and type your message in Body. Use the formatting ribbon as needed.
7. Leave Bridgit Analysis off for a standard email. The optional analysis feature is covered below.

Job Email Setup contains the profile, recipients, subject, and message for the job-level email.

8. Click Save and Close.

Choose Which Executions to Include

For each execution whose exported files should be included:

1. Select the view and execution in the open job.
2. Click Edit (Wizard).
3. Confirm that the required export is selected and configured.
4. Continue to Email and Alerts Options.
5. Select Include in Job Email.
6. If you only want the job-level email, leave Enable Email Delivery unchecked for that execution.

Include in Job Email is selected while individual Enable Email Delivery is unchecked. Attach File remains checked in this example.

7. Click Next and complete the remaining wizard steps.
8. Repeat for the other executions you want to include.
9. Click Save on the Job ribbon.

Executions without Include in Job Email selected do not contribute their exported files to the job email.

Job Email and Individual Execution Emails

You do not need to enable individual Email Delivery just to include an execution in the job email. If you enable both delivery methods, you may receive the job email and separate execution emails.

The job-level email uses the recipient and message settings in Job Email Setup. In the example above, the individual execution’s recipient and message fields are blank.

Run the Job and Verify Delivery

1. Save the job.
2. Run it using your usual Scheduler workflow.
3. Open the received email.
4. Confirm that the recipients, subject, and body match the Job Email Setup.
5. Check that the expected exported files are attached.

The job email contains the configured message and an exported PDF. This example includes one attachment.

For jobs with multiple included executions, check that the expected exports from each execution are present.

Optional: Add Bridgit Analysis

To include an analysis summary in the job email:

1. Open the job and click Email.
2. Turn on Bridgit Analysis in Job Email Setup.
3. Click Save and Close, then save the job.
4. Run a test and review the received email.

With Bridgit Analysis enabled, the example email includes a summary below the configured message.

The summary depends on the report data. Review generated analysis against the exported report before relying on its conclusions.

Troubleshooting

• No job email received: Confirm Send Email is on, the email profile works, the recipients are correct, and the job was saved.
• An expected export is missing: Check that the execution ran, produced the expected file, and has Include in Job Email selected.
• Separate emails are also arriving: Review Enable Email Delivery on each execution. Leave it unchecked if only the job-level email is wanted.
• The message uses unexpected recipients or text: Review Job Email Setup, rather than the individual execution’s email fields.
• The job fails or delivery does not complete: Review the Scheduler logs.
