Article Goal
Learn how to format the email body of a scheduled job in VDM using compressed HTML, allowing for professional styling, bold text, colors, links, and more when sending reports via email.
Why Format the Email Body?
By default, VDM Scheduler email bodies are plain text. With HTML formatting, you can add:
Headings, bold/italicized text
Custom colors and layout
Links, spacing, and styling
This is especially useful for client-facing reports, internal alerts, or automated summaries that require clear, polished formatting.
Tip: Use a free tool like wordhtml.com to convert styled content into a compressed HTML string that VDM can accept.
Where Do You Format the Email Body?
Formatted HTML is pasted into the email body field in the Email Setup section of the Scheduler Wizard in VDM. The HTML must be a single compressed string, not a full HTML page with tags like <html> or <body>.
