Use Attach File on the Job Wizard’s Email and Alerts Options page to control whether an execution’s exported file is attached to its email.
This article covers email delivery configured for an individual execution. To combine selected execution outputs into one Job-level email, see Setting Up Job Emails.
Open the Execution Settings
- Select Scheduler from the bottom navigation.
- Select Job under Automation.
- Open the saved Job.
- Select the View and the execution you want to configure.
- Select Edit (Wizard) on the Job ribbon.
Review the Export Settings
Confirm that the execution exports the output you want to deliver. This example uses Export Finished Report.
The screenshots use demo information. Right-click an image and open it in a new browser tab to view it at full size.
The Daily Sales Report execution is configured to export a Finished Report.
Select Next and review the export location, filename, and file format. This example uses PDF.
Continue to Email and Alerts Options.
Configure Email Delivery
- Select Enable Email Delivery.
- Choose the appropriate Email Delivery Profile.
- Enter the To recipients and any optional CC recipients.
- Enter the Subject and Body.
The screenshots use the demo profile Demo Email and recipient sales@example.com. Use your configured profile and intended recipients.
Include the File Attachment
Select Attach File to include the exported file with the execution’s email.
Enable Email Delivery and Attach File are both selected.
Send the Email Without the Attachment
Clear Attach File when the execution’s email should not include the exported file. Leave Enable Email Delivery selected if you still want the email sent.
Email delivery remains enabled while Attach File is cleared.
Attach File and Include in Job Email are separate options. Include in Job Email determines whether an execution’s exports are included in the separately configured Job-level email. It is left unchecked in this example.
Save and Verify
- Select Next and complete any remaining wizard pages.
- Select Save on the Job ribbon.
- Run the saved Job using your normal test workflow.
- Check the received email and confirm that the attachment matches your selected setting.

If the expected email or attachment does not arrive, review the execution’s export and email settings, then check Monitoring Scheduler Activity Using Logs.
