WebReports is hosted using Internet Information Services (IIS) on Windows Server.
Use the steps below to install the Web Server (IIS) role and the required IIS components for WebReports.
Before You Begin
Before installing IIS:
- Confirm that you have administrator access to the Windows Server.
- Review the WebReports Deployment Requirements and Network Architecture.
- Determine whether your WebReports environment will use Windows Authentication.
Install the Web Server (IIS) Role

Open Server Manager.

Select Add roles and features.

On the Installation Type page, select:
Role-based or feature-based installation

Click Next.
- On the Server Selection page, select the Windows Server where WebReports will be installed.

Click Next.
Enable Web Server (IIS)

On the Server Roles page, select:
Web Server (IIS)

When prompted to add the required features, click Add Features.

Verify that Web Server (IIS) is selected.
Enable Windows Authentication
If your WebReports environment will use Windows Authentication, enable the Windows Authentication role service before completing the IIS installation.
Expand:
Web Server (IIS) > Web Server > Security
Select:
Windows Authentication
If Windows Authentication will not be used in your environment, you can leave this option unselected.
Complete the IIS Installation
- Click Next on the Features page and leave the default features selected.
- Click Next on the Web Server Role (IIS) page.
- On the Role Services page, verify the selected IIS role services and click Next.

On the Confirmation page, click Install.
- Wait for the IIS installation to complete.

Click Close.
