You can deactivate the VDM license on a workstation from Settings. This article explains how to deactivate the license and what to do if you no longer have access to the workstation.

Before You Begin
Save any open Views or reports before proceeding.
Important: Selecting Deactivate License deactivates the license immediately. There is no warning or confirmation prompt before the action.
If you no longer have access to the workstation, use the support instructions below instead.
Deactivate Your VDM License
Step 1: Open VDM
Launch VDM on the workstation whose license you want to deactivate.
Step 2: Open Settings
Select Settings at the bottom of the VDM window.
Step 3: Deactivate the License
On the right side of Settings, locate License Information and select Deactivate License.
The license is deactivated immediately after you select the button.
Step 4: Review the Deactivation Message
Review the message confirming that your VDM license has been deactivated.
If You Cannot Access the Workstation
Contact BridgeWorks Support and provide:
- The workstation name associated with the license.
- Your Company ID.
Explain that you need to deactivate the license and no longer have access to the workstation.
If Deactivation Does Not Complete
If VDM displays an error or you are unsure whether the license was deactivated, contact BridgeWorks Support. Include the workstation name, Company ID, your VDM version, and the exact error message, if one appears. Do not include your license key or registration password in the support request.
