Learn how to configure WebReports for Offline License Registration, allowing license activation without requiring an internet connection. This is useful in secure or isolated environments.
What Is Offline License Registration?
Offline License Registration allows WebReports to be activated using a manually issued license file from BridgeWorks, instead of reaching out to a license server over the internet.
Tip: This method is ideal for environments with restricted network access or where outbound internet traffic is not allowed for security reasons.
Why Use Offline Licensing?
Works in environments without internet access
Avoids firewall or proxy configuration issues
Allows activation in secure or air-gapped systems
Ensures license portability across machines
Use Case: You’re setting up WebReports in a highly secure network where no internet access is allowed. Using the offline license option enables you to activate the software manually.
Where Do You Register Offline?

This is especially valuable in secure or air-gapped environments where regular license communication is restricted. Once received, the license string is added to your appsettings.json file to complete the registration process.
Use Case: You’re deploying WebReports in a locked-down environment where online activation isn’t possible—offline licensing ensures seamless setup without compromising on security.
