Article Goal
Learn how to use Filter Elements such as Combo Box, Tree View, List Box, and Date Filter in Visualize to add interactive filtering to your dashboards.
What Are Filter Elements?
Filter Elements allow you to add dropdowns and controls to your dashboard, enabling users to interactively filter visualizations by fields such as customer names, dates, or other attributes.
Use Case: Add a Combo Box using Contact Name to filter dashboards by specific customer, showing only the relevant data such as freight totals for that contact.
Why Use Filter Elements?
Improve user interactivity with live dashboard filtering
Let users explore specific segments of data on their own
Customize visual outputs without needing multiple dashboards
Note: These filters are accessible to end users in Visualize, unlike design-time filters.
Where Are Filter Elements Added?
Filter Elements are added directly within the Visualize Designer. They can be used with any dashboard item (Charts, Grids, etc.) that shares a common data source.
