What’s New & Improved
This release includes improvements to VDM usability and reporting functionality. Parameter Library for Reusable View Parameters and Crystal Reports Migration Supports Report Logic and Finished Report Execution have been updated to improve clarity, configuration, and day-to-day report workflows.
Parameter Library for Reusable View Parameters (Task 1917)
VDM now includes a local parameter library for reusable View parameters. Users can save commonly used parameters, browse the library when a View needs a parameter, and import an existing parameter directly into the View. This reduces repeated setup work and helps keep parameter configuration consistent across multiple Views.
Crystal Reports Migration Supports Report Logic and Finished Report Execution (Task 1939)
Crystal Reports migration has been expanded to support more of the report logic needed for converted reports to run in VDM. The migration process now handles report parameters, queries, advanced queries, and subreports more completely, then allows the converted VDM views to execute and display finished report output. The conversion display also filters invalid or stale table and field references so migrated reports better reflect the current VDM connection.
