Release Date: September 9, 2026
Important Note: We strongly recommend testing this update in a non-production (test) environment before deploying to production.
What’s New & Improved
This release includes improvements to VDM usability and reporting functionality. Microsoft Graph Email Delivery Support and Search Scheduled Jobs When Creating Appointments have been updated to improve clarity, configuration, and day-to-day report workflows.
Microsoft Graph Email Delivery Support (Task 1973)
VDM now supports Microsoft Graph as an alternative email delivery option for environments where standard SMTP does not meet authentication or security requirements. Existing SMTP functionality remains available.
Search Scheduled Jobs When Creating Appointments (Task 1999)
VDM now includes a search option in the Job List shown when creating a scheduled appointment. Users can quickly filter the available jobs to find and select the correct job without scrolling through the full list.
Bug Fixes
- Database File Field Definitions Can Be Edited (Bug 1993)
Resolved an issue that required users to rebuild a Database File or edit its definition outside VDM when fields changed. Users can now add, remove, or reposition fields directly in an existing Database File definition. - Database File Test Import Validates Every Row (Bug 1994)
Resolved an issue where Database File Test Import could overlook invalid values beyond the initial rows. Test Import now validates the complete input and provides actionable file, row, field, and value details when field counts, data types, lengths, or formats do not match the definition. - Views Refresh Cached Fields When Source Schemas Change (Bug 1995)
Resolved an issue where an existing View could retain an outdated field list after its source schema changed. VDM now refreshes the cached schema when needed, allowing newly added source fields to be used and removing stale source fields while leaving the View's selected Report Fields under user control. - Advanced Query Copy and Paste Works Between VDM Sessions (Bug 1997)
Resolved an issue where SQL copied from the Advanced Query editor in one VDM session could not be pasted directly into another session. Advanced Query clipboard operations now use plain text so queries transfer correctly between open VDM sessions. - View of Views Supports Repeated Searches (Bug 1998)
Resolved an issue where running another search in the same View of Views session could produce an invalid SQL error. View of Views now preserves each child View's query configuration between searches so subsequent searches run correctly. - Finished Reports Charts Can Be Copied and Pasted (Bug 2000)
Resolved an issue where copying a chart in the Finished Reports designer appeared to succeed but pasting it failed. Charts can now be duplicated while retaining their series, layout, and data-source relationship, including when pasted into another report band.
