What’s New & Improved

This release includes several usability and functionality improvements across VDM, WebReports, and Bridgit Chat. InterProse ACE imports now support automatic data type detection for improved formatting, calculations, and reporting accuracy. Views using Advanced Query now open directly to the Advanced Query page for a more streamlined workflow. WebReports filtering has been enhanced with improved date filtering and direct grid filtering support. The Open Completed feature now correctly displays all tables within datasets instead of only the first table. Bridgit Chat has also been expanded to support additional upload file types, including .txt and .sql files.

VDM: Set Data Type Feature for InterProse ACE (Feature 1782)

VDM now supports improved data type detection for InterProse ACE imports through the Auto Detect ACE Data Types option. Numeric and date values are now properly recognized during import processing, resulting in more accurate formatting, calculations, aggregations, and overall data handling within VDM.

Default View Focus Should Open to Advanced Query When Enabled (Task 1905)

VDM now automatically opens Views with Advanced Query enabled directly to the Advanced Query page instead of the Report Fields page. This improves usability and makes it faster for users to continue working with SQL-based Views without needing to manually switch screens.

Improve WebReports Open and Open Completed Form Filtering (Task 1915)

VDM now includes improved filtering for the WebReports Open and Open Completed forms. The Completed field now uses proper date formatting for accurate date filtering, and users can now filter records directly within the grid using the new form filtering feature for a faster and more user-friendly experience.

WebReports Open Completed Form Only Returns First Table (Task 1916)

VDM now correctly displays all tables within datasets when using the WebReports Open Completed feature. Previously, only the first table was returned, but completed report activity now properly includes all dataset tables for improved visibility and usability.

Add Additional Allowed File Types for Bridgit Chat Uploads (Task 1923)

Bridgit Chat now supports additional file upload types, including .txt and .sql files. Users can now upload text documents and SQL scripts directly through the chat interface without issues.

Bug Fixes

IRIS Connection Profile Does Not Display Schema with WebReports Connection Profile (Bug 1908)
Fixed an issue where IRIS connection profiles were not displaying database schemas and schema descriptions correctly in WebReports. Users can now properly view schema information when configuring or reviewing an IRIS connection profile, improving visibility and making setup and validation easier.
Unable to Open VoV from a WebReports Profile (Bug 1909)
VDM now correctly supports opening VoV View files from WebReports profiles. Previously, users could encounter issues where VoV files would not open due to a missing process in the application. This has been fixed, and VoV files now launch normally when working within WebReports connections.
Add “Save With Data” Option for VoV Datasets and Multi-Query (Bug 1918)
VDM now supports the Save With Data option for VoV datasets and Multi-Query views. Previously, the option was visible but unavailable, preventing users from saving datasets together with their data. This update enables the feature so supported views and datasets can now be saved with data included as expected.
Improve Abort Search Button Behavior (Bug 1920)
VDM now handles the Abort Search feature more reliably during long-running queries. Users can cancel searches using a confirmation prompt, and the application remains responsive afterward so work can continue without restarting VDM.
Parameters Property Grid Takes Excessive Space When Tables and Fields Menu Is Undocked (Bug 1924)
VDM now provides a cleaner and more user-friendly layout when the Tables and Fields panel is undocked. The Parameters property grid no longer takes up excessive space, improving screen organization and making the designer interface easier to work with.
Improvements Needed for VDM WebReports Open Completed Option (Bug 1925)
VDM WebReports now includes several improvements to the Open Completed feature. Issues related to restoring empty datatables have been resolved, restored reports now open directly to the Details tab, and table columns automatically resize for easier viewing. Administrative users can also now view all completed items within Open Completed, improving overall usability and workflow efficiency.
