Release Date: May 12, 2026
Important Note: We strongly recommend testing this update in a non-production (test) environment before deploying to production.
What’s New & Improved
These updates improve communication, logging, and scheduling usability. Voice messages can now be transcribed in chat, error logs provide detailed diagnostics for failed attachments, and scheduler logs include more context for easier troubleshooting. Additionally, the Date Time Picker now supports dynamic reserved word values directly within the Execution Wizard, simplifying setup.
Bridgit Push to Talk/Transcribe (Task 1880)
The Push-to-Talk/Transcribe feature enhances chat functionality in Bridgit by allowing users to record voice messages and automatically convert them into text. This streamlines communication by enabling quick voice input while maintaining a clear, written transcript.
Users can start a voice message directly within any Bridgit chat window using the microphone control. Once recorded, the audio is processed and transcribed into text using an integrated speech-to-text service.
This feature builds on a previously available Bridgit capability, now enhanced with modern transcription technology for improved accuracy and usability.
Log Message Update: Error Sending Attachments Message (Task 1766)
The application now captures and logs the full error message when an attachment email fails to send. This enhancement provides more detailed diagnostic information, making it easier to identify the root cause of delivery failures.
When an error occurs, the log entry includes full exception details rather than a generic failure message.
This improvement enables support and technical teams to troubleshoot issues more efficiently by offering clearer insight into mail server errors, configuration issues, attachment handling problems, and other delivery-related failures.
Add Scheduler Appointment, Job, and Execution Names to the Logs (Task 1879)
Scheduler logging has been enhanced to include additional identifying details, making it easier to review and troubleshoot scheduled activity. Log entries for scheduled jobs now provide more context by including related appointment, job, and execution information.
This includes details such as the appointment name (subject), job name, execution name, and other relevant execution data where applicable, helping users more easily distinguish between different scheduled jobs and executions.
Date Time Picker Support for Reserved Words for Schedulers Execution Wizard (Task 1900)
The Date Time Picker now supports selecting reserved words when configuring scheduled job parameters in the Execution Wizard.
Previously, users could only select a specific calendar date. To use dynamic date values (such as @Date or @FirstDayThisMonth), they had to complete the wizard and then manually update the parameter in the property grid.
With this update, users can now choose either a specific date or a reserved word directly within the Date Time Picker workflow. When a reserved word is selected, it is saved as the reserved word rather than being immediately evaluated. This ensures scheduled jobs correctly utilize dynamic date values when configured through the wizard.
Bug Fixes
- Logging for Multi-Query (MQ) Execution in VDM (Bug 1886)
VDM now includes logging support for Multi-Query (MQ) execution. Each query within a multi-query is logged individually, allowing users and administrators to review detailed query activity for a given execution. This update aligns VDM logging behavior with WebReports, which already logs each query within a multi-query. VDM now captures each query in the same way, ensuring consistency across both platforms. - Restricted File Types for Bridgit Chat Attachments (Bug 1887)
This update addresses issues related to file attachments in Bridgit Chat, including unsupported file types, duplicate entries in the allowed file list, and errors encountered during uploads. Testing revealed inconsistencies in how file attachments were handled, such as certain file types being blocked, duplicate file types appearing in the allowed list, and some files triggering upload errors or exceptions, which could lead to user confusion and unreliable upload behavior. - Table Expansion Issue for Table Names Containing Hyphens (Bug 1888)
Table names that contain hyphens now expand and function correctly in VDM. Previously, table expansion could fail or behave unexpectedly when a table name included a hyphen, affecting not only initial expansion but also related query-building features. This issue has been resolved across all impacted areas. Users can now work with hyphenated table names without encountering errors when expanding tables or using them in queries. This improvement enhances reliability when working with databases or data sources that use hyphenated naming conventions. - Bridgit Chat History with Files Doesn't load (Bug 1889)
This update addresses an issue in Bridgit Chat where chat history containing file attachments did not load as expected. - Artiva HC on IRIS Descriptions Not Populating (Bug 1892)
This update addresses an issue where descriptions were not populating correctly in Artiva HC when running on the IRIS platform. The issue affected the visibility of key descriptive data, which is important for accurate reporting and user interpretation. Users experienced missing or incomplete description fields within the Artiva HC interface on IRIS, resulting in gaps in displayed information and potential impacts to reporting accuracy and overall usability. - Handling of Datatype and Object Identifier Inconsistency Between VDM and WebReports (Bug 1894)
This update resolves an inconsistency in how object identifiers are handled when using parameters configured with the datatype set to None in VDM and WebReports. Previously, object identifiers were still being replaced during comparison operations, even though the datatype set to None indicates that no transformation should occur. This behavior could lead to unintended results, particularly in workflows that rely on strict identifier matching. The issue has now been corrected, ensuring that object identifiers remain unchanged when the datatype is set to None. - Reset On Search Clearing Scheduler Wizard Parameters (Bug 1896)
This update addresses an issue in which the Reset on Search functionality unexpectedly cleared parameters in the Scheduler Wizard, affecting the persistence of parameter values during search-related actions. When Reset on Search was triggered, parameter values were unintentionally cleared, resulting in the loss of previously entered or selected values, disruption to workflow when configuring scheduled jobs, and the need to re-enter parameters after performing search actions. This behavior did not align with expected functionality, where parameter values should persist unless explicitly reset by the user. - Scheduled Jobs Require Manual Refresh After View Parameter Changes (Bug 1901)
This update addresses an issue where scheduled jobs did not automatically reflect changes made to view parameters, requiring users to manually refresh or take additional steps to ensure updated values were used. Previously, parameter updates were not immediately recognized, creating discrepancies between configured parameters and actual execution, which could result in scheduled jobs running with stale or incorrect values and lead to inconsistent or unexpected report results. This issue has been resolved by ensuring that parameter values are refreshed when accessed through the property grid, guaranteeing that scheduled jobs use the most up-to-date parameter values without requiring manual intervention. - Saved View Linking Table Layout Changes Do Not Persist After Saving (Bug 1902)
An issue has been resolved where linking table layout changes made in a saved View were not persisting after saving. Saved Views now correctly retain linking table layout changes, including table positioning and sizing, ensuring that updates remain intact when the View is reopened or reused, and eliminating the need to reapply these changes. - Splitter Panel Resizing and Layout Issues (Bug 1903)
This item addresses issues with panel resizing and layout behavior in VDM, where the Parameters panel could not be properly resized and settings were cut off. Updates were implemented to enable full resizing, improve dynamic layout adjustments between panels, and ensure docking and undocking behaves correctly so all UI elements remain visible and usable.
