License Checks & Validation

Article Goal: Provide information on how and why VDM has license check / validation, as well as what this means for anyone using VDM and WebReports.

In this article we provide information regarding the license check and validation process for VDM and WebReports.

Why Does VDM Have A License Check / Validation?

With VDM and WebReports being a subscription service, they both call out to our license farm to validate the subscription every 30 days.

Example: If our invoices are not paid, are more than 15 days late or cancels their subscription, the license will be invalidated and both VDM and WebReports will become inaccessible.

Where Can You Check On The Next License Check / Validation?

Steps To Check License Validation.

1. Open VDM.

2. Click Settings at the bottom of VDM's main screen

3. On the right side of the settings you will have Application Information. This is where you will find the date the next license check happens (Next Lic Check Date) and status (Active/Inactive) on the license.
