Why Use Download?
Using the Download button gives users the ability to execute Views in the browser and export the output directly to the Completed section. From there, users can download the report in various formats and review the exact parameters used during execution.
Tip: This is especially helpful when you want to archive or distribute reports offline after running them in WebReports.
Where Can You Download a View?
The Download button is located on the Available page under the Reports tab of the WebReports navigation bar.
Note: The behavior of the View during download may vary depending on how the report was built—e.g., parameter requirements, variable filters, or output components like Detail/Summary/FR.
Steps to Download a View
Step 1: Go to the Available Reports Page
Click on the Available page under the Reports tab in WebReports.
Step 2: Select the View to Download
Choose the View you want to download from the list.
Step 3: Click the Download Button
Click Download. If the View includes parameters, a prompt will appear.
Step 4: Select File Type & Enter Parameters
Choose the file format you wish to download (e.g., XLSX, XLS, PDF, DOCX).
If the View uses parameters, enter them as prompted.
Tip: You can return to the Completed page to verify or re-download files in alternate formats later.
Step 5: Wait for Completion Notification
After submitting the request, a completion notice will appear in your browser once the report is ready.
Step 6: Navigate to the Completed Page
Click the Completed tab to view recently executed reports.
Step 7: Download the Report & View Parameters
Once the report appears in the Completed list, you can:
View the parameters used
Download the report in the selected format
