Why Execute Reports?
Executing a View allows users to generate report results inside the browser without needing VDM. This enables interactive access to live data directly from the WebReports interface.
💡 Tip: Executing reports is ideal for users who need fast access to data or visualizations without editing the View logic.
Where Can You Execute a Report?
The Execute buttons are located on the Available page under the Reports tab of the WebReports navigation bar. Execution options appear based on what output types are included in the View.
⚠️ Note: The View setup determines which execution modes are available (Detail Grid, Summary Grid, Finished Report, Visualize). If none are configured in the View, some execution options may not appear.

Steps to Execute a View
🧩 Step 1: Open the Available Reports Page
Navigate to the Available page under the Reports tab in the navigation bar.
🧩 Step 2: Select a View to Run
Click on the View (report) you want to execute.
⚠️ Note: Different Views may have different output options available depending on how the View was built.
🧩 Step 3: Choose an Execution Option
Click one of the output buttons:
Detail Grid
Summary Grid
Finished Report
Visualize
💡 Tip: You can switch between output types after the View has been executed—without re-running it.
🧩 Step 4: Enter Parameters (If Required)
If the View has parameters, you’ll be prompted to enter values.
After entering them, click Finish and wait for results to render.
🧩 Step 5: Preview the Report Output
Once the View is executed, the results will display in the browser.
Use the control panel on the left to switch between available output types as needed.
