Steps to Apply Alternating Colors to the Detail Band
Step 1: Select the Detail Band
Click anywhere on the Detail Band inside the Finished Reports Designer to select it.
Step 2: Open the Styles Property
In the Properties pane, locate the Styles section and click the dropdown arrow.
Step 3: Add an Odd or Even Style
Choose Add Style and select either Even Style or Odd Style. This example uses Odd Style which affects every other detail row starting with the first.
Step 4: Set Background Color
In the new style’s properties, set a Background Color (e.g., LightGray). You may also configure other visual properties like font or borders.
Step 5: Preview the Report
Click Preview to see the alternating row styling applied in your report.
