After installing VDM, register the application using your company's registration details. This article explains how to select a license type, enter your registration and user information, and activate VDM.

Before You Begin
Make sure VDM is installed and have the following information available:
- Company ID
- Registration Password
- License Key
These details are typically included with your VDM purchase confirmation. If you cannot locate them, contact BridgeWorks Support before continuing.
Registering VDM
Step 1: Open the Registration Window
Launch VDM. If a registration prompt appears, select OK to begin.
You can also open the registration window manually by selecting Help → Register.
Step 2: Select Your License Type
Choose the license type assigned to you:
- Developer — Allows you to create and edit Views, reports, and configurations.
- View Only — Allows you to open and run existing Views without editing them.
Step 3: Enter Your Registration Information
Enter your Company ID, Registration Password, and License Key in the corresponding fields.
Step 4: Enter Your User Information
Complete the required user-information fields in the registration form.
Step 5: Complete Registration
Select Register. After successful registration, VDM displays a confirmation message and closes the application.
Step 6: Relaunch VDM
Open VDM again to begin using the application.
To check your license status after registration, open Settings and review License Information on the right. For details, see License Checks & Validation.
If Registration Does Not Complete
Review the Company ID, Registration Password, and License Key you entered, and confirm that you selected the license type assigned to you.
If you still cannot register, contact BridgeWorks Support. Include your VDM version and the exact error message, if one appears. Do not include your registration password or license key in the support request.
