VDM Release Notes – Version 2025.6.24

What’s New & Improved?

General Enhancements

• Connection Profile Simplification (Task 1693)
  Removed the "Save As" file dialog when creating a new connection profile. Users now simply enter a name for the connection directly.

Settings

• License Options – UI Scaling Fix (Task 1710)
  The Deactivate License, View Company License, and Convert License buttons were previously cut off on smaller screen resolutions. A scrollable container has been added to accommodate various resolutions.
• Email Profiles – UI Scaling Adjustment (Task 1711)
  Email profile settings were partially hidden on certain displays. Adjustments were made to ensure full visibility across different screen sizes.

Scheduler

• Duplicate Appointment Script Update (Task 1720)
  Enhanced the backend script used to manage duplicate appointments within the Scheduler database, improving data integrity and reliability.

Parameters

• Restrict to List – Comparison Behavior Update (Task 1718)
  When using the “Restrict to List” property, VDM now correctly compares against the list value rather than the user-entered value.

Oracle Database

• ALTER SESSION on Reconnect (Task 1716)
  Improved the Reopen Connection functionality to reapply ALTER SESSION settings automatically, maintaining consistent Oracle session behavior.

Tables & Fields

• Duplicate Schema Resolution (Task 1717)
  Optimized how table, schema, and field nodes are retrieved in the TreeList, reducing duplication and improving loading accuracy.

Bridgit

• Chat Bubble Enhancements (Task 1679)
  Integrated an updated chatbubble.cs component and revised API endpoints to support smoother in-app chat rendering.

Resolved Bugs:

• Visualize – Data Source Break (Bug 1705) – ■ Medium
  Creating a Visualize Dashboard with one data source, then adding a second query (via Advanced Query), and later removing that second result set could break existing items in the Visualize. This has been resolved to ensure stability when modifying queries post-save.
• General – VDM Form Lock (Bug 1714) – ■ Medium
  Running a view with a parameter and then clicking Save & Upload caused VDM to enter a hard-locked state requiring shutdown via Task Manager. This form lock issue has been resolved.
