Article Goal: Cover the usage of the Transpose Detail and Summary Grid view level options.
Version: 11.3.2.0 and later.
In this article we cover how to use the Tranpose Detail and Summary Grid view level options in VDM.
Why Use Transpose?
The transpose option will allow you to flip the columns and rows available in the Detail and Summary Grid. When transposed, the first field in the list becomes the column headers and the column headers become the row headers for the data grid.

NOTE: If you have null values, you will likely have errors when running the view due to the columns / rows not being able to be null. Filtering out the null values should resolve the error. The error below indicates a null value being used for a column / row name.
Error: Error transposing table: ColumnName is required when it is part of a DataTable
1. Open and run a view
2. Click on the View Options Ribbon Bar.
3. Enable Transpose Detail / Summary as needed for your View.
4. Expand the drop down on the desired Data Grid and flip between regular and transposed.
Note: If you want to use a different field for the columns, make sure that field is the first in the query.
