Steps to Set Up a Date Time Picker Parameter
Step 1: Open or Create a View
Launch VDM and open an existing view, or create a new one to begin configuring parameters.
Step 2: Add a New Parameter
Navigate to the Parameters tab and click Add Parameter.
Step 3: Configure the Parameter
- Set Type to Date Time Picker
- Set Datatype to DateTime
- Set Date Time Picker Type to either:
- Date
- Date and Time
- Time
Optional: Add a descriptive Name for the Parameter and a Description to clarify its use within the view.
Step 4: Use the Parameter in FSGS
Apply the Date Time Picker parameter to a filter in your FSGS logic.
Tip: You can use the parameter to filter against values such as ShippedDate >= [YourDateTimeParameter].
Step 5: Run the View
Execute the view and select a Date, Time, or Date & Time based on your parameter configuration.
Note: When using the time picker, press Enter after selecting a time to apply it.
Step 6: Verify the Output
Ensure that the returned data matches the selected Date Time criteria.
Example: ShippedDate >= 7/16/1996 10:30:00 AM
