In this article we are going to provide the steps needed to change between the Crosstab and Pivot control in the Finished Reports designer. 

Where Can You Change Between Crosstab / Pivot?

You can change the control being used by clicking on the Settings section of VDM's main screen.

Why Change Between Crosstab / Pivot?

For the most part the two controls can do the same thing, with a major difference in how they are setup. Since there are differences in how they are setup there are also some limitations on what can be done with the data. Because of this, sometimes users may need to swap between the two controls.

Steps To Change Between Crosstab / Pivot

NOTE: Only available in version 11.0.2.0 or later.

1. Open VDM.

2. Click on Settings.

3. Change the Pivot or Crosstab setting under Finished Reports.

4. Open Finished Reports Designer and drag the cross tab / pivot into the report.
