In this article we cover the process of setting up alternating colors between bands. This article will deal with cases that use the Detail Band. The alternating colors for the Detail band are done differently than those within Group Bands. For information on alternating colors for groups bands, click here.

Setting Up Alternate Colors

1. Select the Detail band on your Finished Report.

2. Click the drop down on the Styles Property.

3. Add a new Even or Odd Style. Odd Styles will impact every odd numbered detail line, where even will be every even detail line. (This example uses Odd Style)

4. Set the background color you wish to use. (There are many more properties you can set as well) 

5. Preview the changes.
