Paste List Values for Parameters

Version: Available in version 12.3.4.0 and later of VDM / WebReports.

In this article we are going to go over the steps to use a list of values for IN type parameters. The paste list values feature works in both VDM and WebReports on IN type parameters. 

Note: Pasting values only works on IN type parameters and the values must be separated by a comma.

Steps to Paste List Values for Parameters in VDM

1. Open VDM.

2. Open / Create your view.

3. Run your view to get to the parameter form.

4. Paste your list of values into the top bar of the IN type parameter.

Note: Pasting values only works on IN type parameters and the values must be separated by a comma.

5. Click the arrow with the plus icon to the right of the values to add the values.

6. Finish entering any other parameter values, then click Finish and preview the results.

Steps to Paste List Values for Parameters in WebReports

1. Select your desired report to run in WebReports.

2. Paste your list of values into the top bar of the IN type parameter.

Note: Pasting values only works on IN type parameters and the values must be separated by a comma.

3. Click the top single arrow icon to add the values to your parameter.

4. You should then see all your values be added to the parameter. Finish entering any other parameters and then click Finish.
