What is ODBC?

Tony Coffman -

ODBC stands for Open Database Connectivity. It is an Industry Standard that allows applications, such as VDM QuickView, to access various databases, such as jBase & Universe, via an industry agreed upon methodology. There are generally two components involved in each ODBC setup, the server and the client or workstation.
