Creating a Map

Basic Map

• Click the Choropleth Map Icon to insert this element into the
• Under the Choropleth Map Tools at the top of the screen, select Design.
• Set the Default Map.
• Drag a field into the attribute.
• Click on the attribute binding button (to the right of the attribute)
  • Set the Map Attribute Binding to Postal
• Drag the Shipping Fee field into the map’s value.
  • Click the drop down for Shipping Fee.
  • Select Format…
  • Set Format Type to Currency.
  • Set the Unit to Ones
  • Set the Precision to 0.
  • Check the Include group separator
• Drag the Shipping Fee field into the map’s second value.
  • Click the drop down for Shipping Fee.
  • Change the value from (Sum) to (Max)
• Click the icon in the top right corner of the map element to choose between which value the map will display. (Sum or Max)

3. Set the Default Map to USA.
4. Drag State/Province field into the attribute.
5. Click on the attribute binding button (to the right of the attribute)
   • Set the Map Attribute Binding to Postal
6. Drag the Shipping Fee field into the map’s value.
   • Click the drop down for Shipping Fee.
   • Select Format…
   • Set Format Type to Currency.
   • Set the Unit to Ones
   • Set the Precision to 0.
   • Check the Include group separator
7. Drag the Shipping Fee field into the map’s second value.
   • Click the drop down for Shipping Fee.
   • Change the value from (Sum) to (Max)
8. Click the icon in the top right corner of the map element to choose between which value the map will display. (Sum or Max)
